Growing up in poverty and surrounded by violence, Marcus was given confidence by his first mentor, an area police officer. After attending Temple on a GE scholarship, Marcus was drafted by the NBA Denver Nuggets where he played for seven years. Now Marcus travels the country inspiring others and showing kids in the organization that he was once in their shoes.
